Our Challenge

Demographic changes: the number of caregivers is decreasing and the number of care recipients is increasing...We have to simplify the care processes.

Specific problem

There is a gap between the digital capabilities and tools that the care sector could use and the level of use in reality.

Idea

How about we show long-term care facilities a range of digital solutions that can help them?!...

Solution

We will show managers of long-term care facilities the most suitable digital solutions they can use in practice.

First step

Testing of digital information systems for the organisation of nursing operations and collaboration with third parties.

Second step

Testing various smart devices such as sensors, wearables or panic buttons, as well as mobile apps and virtual reality therapy in the context of care.

Third step

Creating a pan-European overview of digital tools that facilitate care and can be used beyond the project in all countries.

In Niederösterreich wurde der Schwerpunkt auf den Bereich der Sturzerkennung und -prävention gesetzt. Im Pflege- und Betreuungszentrum in Raabs/Thaya wurden 3D-Smartsensoren in den Zimmern der BewohnerInnen getestet. Dieses System ermöglicht es, Präventionsalarme zu senden und Alarm zu schlagen, wenn eine Person im Zimmer stürzt.
