Accessibility Statement

The Health Agency of Lower Austria is committed to make the websites it operates accessible in accordance with the Lower Austrian Anti-Discrimination Act 2017 (Directive EU 2016/2102). This accessibility statement applies to the victim protection website of the Health Agency of Lower Austria: https://healthacross.noe-lga.at

Status of compatibility with the requirements
This website is partially compliant with compliance level AA of the ‘Web Accessibility Guidelines - WCAG 2.1` and with the applicable European Standard EN 301 549 V2.1.2 (2018-08), respectively, due to the following incompatibilities and exceptions.

Non-barrier-free content
The content listed below is not barrier-free for the following reasons:

a) Incompatibility with the accessibility provisions
A map display is used to show our locations. As a visual element, this is not fully accessible. As an alternative, the locations are also displayed in list form.

b) Disproportionate effort
Out videos are web-hosted and published on the video platform YouTube. Each video is available with a subtitle in order to be able to reach as many users as possible. However, it is not possible to provide the required audio descriptions for the videos. Thus, WCAG success criterion 1.2.5 (audio description recorded) is not met.

c) The contents are not within the scope of the applicable legislation.  Many mostly older PDF documents are not barrier-free.  For example, PDF document are not tagged, so they cannot be captured and used by screen readers or can only be used inadequately. For this reason WCAG success criterion 4.1.2 (e.g. name, role, value) is not fully met. At the moment no major changes are planned for older non-barrier-free documents which are still exempt from Directive (EU) 2016/2102.

Please inform us if you have problems with specific documents. We will prepare the content barrier-free on request and will subsequently replace the documents or supplement them with barrier-free alternatives. We try to prepare new documents in a barrier-free manner and PDF/UA compliant according to WCAG 2.1 before publication. Publications of non-barrier-free documents, e.g. print versions, are marked as such.

Links to contents of third parties which are not within the sphere of the Health Agency of Lower Austria are exempt from Directive (EU) 2016/2102. For such content of third parties we cannot make any statement regarding the compliance with accessibility provisions.

Creation of this accessibility statement
