HACK-IT-NET

enabling an Alpine region Health And Care Knowledge and Innovation Transfer NETwork

HACK-IT-NET

The HACK-IT-NET project aims to design, test and expand a cross-actor framework based on social innovation and user acceptance in order to

  1. improve the capacity of stakeholders in the Alpine region in health and care to adopt innovations and
  2. create a healthier, digital and green Alpine region where work continues on the UN Sustainable Development Goals (e.g. No. 3 Health/Well-being).

The COVID-19 pandemic highlighted the cross-border impact of crises in the health and care sector. These and other challenges require joint innovative approaches to improve health and care sector outcomes in the Alpine region (green hospitals, advances in system-level services, etc.).

This project improves the conditions for health and care provision in the Alpine region by enhancing the transfer of innovation between ecosystem actors and healthcare actors using novel methods and digital tools. This innovative system reflects the specific Alpine needs and ensures a coordinated use and a unique mix of the consortium (policy, business support, hospitals) that goes beyond the existing initiatives in this sector and territory.

Focal points

The objectives of this work package are

  • the joint creation of a capacity building toolkit and
  • a network for the identification and promotion of advanced health and care OUTCOMES via a social approach to improve linkages, transfer and uptake between EU/AS innovation providers and AS actors of the health and care ecosystem.

The second project priority focusses on different pilot projects to improve innovation transfer (3 transnational sandboxes, 9 AS test zones + 9 extension zones) to support AS Health&Care OUTCOMES (Green/E Health, System Service & Tech Transfer) in 3 stakeholder groups (e.g. workers, policy/administration and end-users).

The third focus is on utilising the pilot results for a sustainable solution, linking the HACK-IT-NET innovation transfer tools & approach with political activities and creating the conditions for a continuous transfer of AS relevant innovations to stakeholders in the health and care ecosystem.
