PathoCon

Building on the predecessor project “HEAL NOW” (ATHU130), this new cross-border health project “PathoCon” (ATHU-0200084) addresses the shortage of healthcare professionals, which is increasingly prevalent on both the Austrian and the Hungarian sides. “PathoCon” specifically focuses on the lack of specialists in the field of pathology and pursues the overarching and long-term goal of promoting the creation of a better connected Austrian-Hungarian border region.

Specifically, “PathoCon” aims to enable collaboration between pathology experts from both countries by developing a bilateral cooperation agreement, thereby supporting the exchange of expertise. This can significantly build on the results of the predecessor project “HEAL NOW”, which also dealt with (digital) pathology in a specific pillar of the project.

The development of this cooperation agreement is intended to reduce legal and administrative barriers, regulate organizational and procedural principles, and thereby increase the efficiency and quality of public services on both sides of the border.
